B2017 Revision Breast Augmentation / Capsular Contracture
Revision Breast Augmentation / Capsular Contracture
Type of Procedure:
Surgical
This 57-year-old woman had undergone breast augmentation with silicone 30 years prior and a recent mammogram suggested implant rupture. She noted that her breast shape had changed, becoming narrower and irregular in appearance. Her breasts were tender and firm. She elected to undergo surgery to remove the ruptured implants. Mentor smooth round moderate plus implants, 275 cc, were placed in the submuscular space. She healed very well and was very happy with the result.
